How It Works

  1. 1

Enter the URL for your event page, ticket validation endpoint, or registration form in the generator above. This could be an Eventbrite link, a Google Form, or a custom check-in page on your own site.

  2. 2

Brand the QR code for your event. Use your event colors, upload the event logo, and select a high-resolution size — 512px or larger if the code will appear on large-format banners or projected screens.

  3. 3

Download and distribute. Embed the QR code in email confirmations, print it on physical tickets, or display it on signage at the venue entrance. Door staff can scan attendee codes with any smartphone camera to validate entry.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use QR codes for event check-in?
Generate a unique QR code for each attendee that links to their ticket or registration record. At the door, staff scan the code with a phone camera to open the link and confirm the attendee is registered. For simple events, even a shared QR code linking to a check-in form works well.
Can I create unique QR codes for each ticket?
Yes, but each unique code needs a unique URL. For small events, generate codes one at a time here. For hundreds of tickets, check out the Bulk Generator page to create many codes from a spreadsheet of unique URLs.
What size should the QR code be on a printed ticket?
For a standard paper or PDF ticket, print the QR code at 1 to 1.5 inches across. For a wristband, 0.75 inches minimum. For a poster or banner visible from a distance, scale up to 4 inches or more.
Can attendees screenshot the QR code and share it?
Technically yes — a QR code is just an image. If you need to prevent ticket sharing, pair each QR code with a unique validation URL that can only be scanned once. The QR code itself does not enforce single-use; your backend check-in system does.
Do I need a special scanner app?
No. Every modern iPhone and Android phone can scan QR codes with the built-in camera app. Point the camera at the code, tap the notification, and the link opens in the browser.
