At Nofolo, your privacy is fundamental to how we build our product. This policy explains what data we collect (very little) and how we handle it.
QR Code Generation
Static QR codes are generated entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript. The data you enter for static codes — URLs, text, WiFi credentials, contact information — never leaves your device. Editable QR codes work differently: when you create an editable QR code, the destination URL and optional settings (password, expiry date) are stored on our servers so you can update them after printing. Editable QR codes are accessed through a private management link — no account is required.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site — which pages are popular, how long people stay, and what devices they use. Google Analytics collects anonymized usage data through cookies. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Advertising
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google AdSense may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our site or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings.
Editable QR Codes
When you create an editable QR code, we store the destination URL, an optional password hash, and optional expiry date on our servers. This data is necessary to provide the redirect and editing functionality. Each editable QR code is managed through a private link containing a unique token — no account is required. Scan counts are recorded to provide basic analytics.
Accounts and API Keys
Accounts are optional. If you create an account, we store your email address, a hashed password, and your QR code data to provide dashboard features including scan analytics, saved history, and API key management. API keys are stored as SHA-256 hashes — we never store raw API keys after initial creation.
Cookies
Nofolo itself sets authentication cookies only if you create an account and log in. Our third-party services (Google Analytics and Google AdSense) may set additional cookies. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.
Data We Do Not Collect
We do not require account creation for basic use. We do not store static QR code content or generated images — those are processed entirely in your browser. For editable QR codes, we store only the redirect URL and optional settings (password hash, expiry date) needed to provide the editing feature. If you create an account, we store your email address and QR code data to provide dashboard features. We do not share any data with third parties beyond what is described in this policy.
Children's Privacy
Nofolo is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
